Kevin T. Murray, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Murray is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland School of Medicine-Department of Physical Therapy, and the E.I.M. Institute of Health Professions. Kevin has over 20 years of experience practicing physical therapy and sports medicine, and is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS). He has extensive experience working with professional and Division I collegiate athletes, and has a passion to bring that level of excellence for Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement to the High School and Youth Athletic Programs locally. His clinical specialties include Differential Diagnosis, Biomechanics, Osteopathic Spinal Manipulative Therapies, and Sports Medicine with a focus on the spine, shoulder, and foot/ankle pathologies. Kevin is also Nationally Certified as a Specialist in Aquatic Therapy.
Consistent with a lifelong commitment to learning and personal & professional growth, Kevin recently completed several years of additional education to achieve his post-professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), as well as an MBA based Certificate in Executive Management. His principal role now focuses on developing others to be their personal best, with a goal of modeling the primary directive for all Gold Medal Team Members: "Be a Blessing".
Kevin enjoys being involved with his three children's sports teams, spending time outdoors with his family kayaking, biking and walking and volunteering at his church and in community ministries. He lives in Bel Air with his wife and children, ages 17, 14 and 10.

Jeremy S. Stiffler,
PT, DPT, OCS, MTC
Dr. Stiffler serves as the Director of Clinical Development at Gold Medal Physical Therapy. Jeremy also acts as the Resident Supervisor/Mentor for Orthopedic Residents in partnership with Evidence in Motion (EIM) for the Mid-Atlantic Region. He has been a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics since 2007 and has been Manual Therapy trained and certified through the
University of St. Augustine, Florida since 2009. He also has training and certification in
Functional Dry Needling - Level 1 through Kinetacore. Jeremy is currently seeking his second Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and is an expert on Golf Fitness Training. Jeremy loves to cook (and grill), and enjoys coaching and training his son and daughter's soccer and lacrosse teams.

Jill A. Katulka, PT
Jill received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA in 1988. Upon graduation, Jill worked at the John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Since moving to Maryland in 1989, Jill has been working in Harford County in an outpatient setting. Her experiences/interests include treatment of patients with varying diagnosis including orthopedics (general, pre, and post surgical), sports medicine, spinal, and neurological for all age groups. Jill joined Gold Medal Physical Therapy in 2007.
Jill enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She loves exercising and sports of all kinds, as well as being outside, gardening, walking/hiking, skiing, and participating in water sports.

Jennifer Brilliant, PTA
Ms. Brilliant is a 1988 graduate with her A.A. degree in Physical Therapy, from the Central Pennsylvania Business School. She has 23 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics with a special interest in manual therapy. Jennifer spent 8 years studying classical ballet at the world renowned Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She has been teaching for over 25 years, most recently at Dancemoves Studio of Dance for the past 11 years. Jennifer's personal and professional passion is to be a valuable resource to dancers in the areas of proper injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Tracey Burns PT, DPT, SCS, ATC
Dr. Burns graduated from the University of Delaware in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Minor in Biology. Tracey completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS). She is a NATABOC certified Athletic Trainer and has experience working with collegiate-level athletes, and is Certified in Level 1 Functional Dry Needling. Tracey has over 10 years Physical Therapy experience working private practice, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her special interests include general orthopedics and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as sports conditioning and performance. Tracey enjoys spending time outside golfing, running, biking and skiing, as well as traveling.

Timothy T. Russell, PTA, CSCS, CSST
Mr. Russell is a 2012 graduate of Baltimore City Community College, earning his Associate of Science with highest honors in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. In 2009, Tim graduated from Towson University's Exercise Science program. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Senior Strength Trainer, (CSST) and holds a certification for Functional Movement Systems (FMS) screenings.
A top prospect PTA who was highly sought after by Gold Medal, Tim hopes to continue his education and advance his skills and practice through close contact and mentoring from the Gold Medal residency faculty, with a focus of specializing in biomechanical dysfunctions of the foot/ankle and shoulder pathologies. Current areas of special interest for Tim are sports conditioning/performance through functional screenings and injury prevention programs, geriatrics, neurological conditions, and vestibular rehabilitation. Tim passionately promotes lifetime wellness, and enjoys spending time in the sports community, officiating as an umpire in youth baseball.
Tim plays ultimate frisbee, golf and tennis, and is a Ravens and Orioles fan. Tim enjoys movies, hiking, road trips, the beach, and spending time with his new bride, Whitney, and Zoe, their black lab.

Sarah Groschan, PT, DPT, Orthopedic Specialist Resident (EIM/GMPT)
Dr. Groschan is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in January 2013. Sarah received her Bachelor's degree in Health & Science Studies in December 2009 from Quinnipiac University. Sarah is a passionate and skillful therapist, dedicated to the continual pursuit of personal and professional growth. Her areas of interest include the management of postural dysfunctions and balance disorders, as well as spine, shoulder, and knee rehabilitation.
Sarah is currently enrolled in an intensive Orthopedic Residency Program here at Gold Medal Physical Therapy in Partnership with Evidence in Motion (EIM Institute of Health Professions). Through this Accredited Specialist training program, she will obtain her Orthopedic Specialist Board Certification (OCS) - less than 5% of all currently employed Physical Therapists in the United States attain the distinction of Orthopedic Certified Specialist. This is a two-year program involving rigorous academic studies combined with 1-on-1 Mentorship time from the three Board Certified Orthopedic Specialists who are already part of the Team here at Gold Medal. In addition, Sarah will be taking courses and training to sit for her Manual Therapy Certification, to add to her already exceptional level of skill, expertise and specialization. Sarah loves baking, playing golf, and painting pottery. She enjoys hanging out with her family and her significant other, Ricky, on weekend's playing cards, watching movies, and cooking dinner. Sarah also likes to travel to the beach and to Connecticut to visit family & friends.

Erin E. Derenick, PT, DPT, CSST
Dr. Derenick received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the College Misericordia in Dallas, Pennsylvania in 2006. She returned to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Misericordia University in 2009. After graduation in 2006, Erin moved to Harford County Maryland, where she has worked in a variety of Physical Therapy settings to gain a broad experience level. Her diverse experience includes Outpatient Orthopedics, Geriatrics and Home Health settings. Over the past 8 years of practice, Erin has gained expertise in multiple areas, including Orthopedics (surgical and non-surgical), Sports Medicine, Aquatics, Spine Care, Neurological Rehabilitation, Vestibular and Balance Dysfunctions, Body Mechanics, and Work Hardening. She enjoys working with patients of all ages from pediatric to adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Erin's special interests include Patient Education, Injury Prevention and Developing Individualized Wellness Programs, which she tailors to benefit all age groups and body types in the community.
Erin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, especially chasing after her 2-year-old son and yellow lab at the playground and beach, or running on the Ma & Pa Trail. She loves being a part of her community, especially volunteering at her church and participating in charity events.
